Nutritious Snack
Many students are coming to school without a
snack. While it is NOT mandatory, your child may
be hungry after a couple of hours of being in
school. (We use a lot of our brain power!) Talk
to him/her about bringing something small if
he/she needs something to eat to get through the
day. (ie: a piece of fruit, crackers, juice,
etc.)
Everyday, with the exception of Thursday, your
child gets five minutes to eat something before
playing outside. If he/she does not have anything
to eat, he/she waits until being dismissed to the
playground. |

Homework Policy
Please make sure all homework packets are
completed and returned by Friday inside the
envelope. |

Colors All Around
We've been working on learning all our
colors. So far we have learned about red, blue,
yellow, and green. We learned that green is a
secondary color and that you need blue and yellow
to make it.
Up next is purple! We will have fun with Harold
and the Purple Crayon. |

Exciting News
Your child will be part of an exciting new
endeavor. I wrote a grant to partipate in
creating videos with students to teach concepts
and skills based on our content standards. We
will be learning to share, create movies in
imovie, learn to use a video camera, and use our
creativity to enter a contest at the end of the
year. This is a very special opportunity that I
hope will enhance your child's education.
Please look for the parent release form so that I
can use video of your child. Without this release
form, your child will NOT be able to participate
or be included onscreen.
**Update** We have completed our very first
video** The next video we will create will be a
PSA . (public service announcement) |

Sleep..Sleep....
Make sure your child is going to bed at a
resonable hour. The first week of school was
difficult for some children who felt very tired
and were restless. |
|
Kindergarten Hours
Please remember...
School starts at 8:40 and ends at 2:45 everyday
except Thursday.
Thursday is our minimum day and we get out at 1:20
p.m. Please make sure you are on time to pick
your child up. I have meetings to attend and
picking up your child late makes me late to my
staff meetings. |
