Please make sure your child is here everyday! I cannot help them if they are not here!

School begins each day at 8:15 SHARP!Dismissal time is at 2:35 everyday, EXCEPT Thursdays! Every Thursday is an Early Dismissal Day at 1:00.

Welcome To First Grade
Welcome to Room 23. I'm looking forward to an exciting and busy year! Your child will need to bring his/her backpack to school everyday. Please check the Homework Folders everyday for notes from school.

Homework
I send homework home DAILY and it needs to be returned DAILY. If your child forgets to return homework they may lose their recess time to make up the work. Please help to ensure that your child is prepared for school everyday.

Behavior Charts
Inside your child's Blue Homework Folder you will find a Behavior Chart. This is where your child records and charts how he/she is behaving in school. PLEASE SIGN THIS CHART EVERYDAY! This helps your child to be resposible for his/her actions at school and it helps me reinforce the rules at school. It's important for your child to see that we both care and are working together!

Spelling Words
Our Spelling Test is this Friday. Please help your child study the words every night!
