Parent Thought of
the Month
We must expect each student to strive for
excellence in terms of the kind that is within his
or her reach.
Research Tells Us
Children who are encourage to draw and scribble
stories at an early age will later learn to
compose more easily, more effectively, and with
greater confidence than children who do not have
this encouragement.
Experience Tells US
Recognition is an excellent motivator for
sustaining good behavior.
Watch for and be quick to react to acts of
kindness your child extends towards others. Let
your child know that you notice and approve. Tell
him/her what you saw and/or write a short note‚
but let your child know that good behavior does
not go unnoticed in your home.
Remember, a parent's recognition is a primary
motivator in the classroom.
