Dear Central School Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!
I am excited to introduce Catherine Kratochvil-Rojo as the new principal of Central Elementary School. Catherine comes to us with a wealth of experience and qualifications that make her an excellent fit for our National School District family.
Catherine has extensive experience leading culturally diverse school communities with high second-language learner populations. Most recently, she served as a principal in the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD). Her career also includes roles as an Associate Principal, District Resource Teacher, and Bilingual Reading Support Teacher.
Currently pursuing her doctorate degree, Catherine holds a Master of Education in Bilingual/Bicultural Education and a BCLAD Professional Clear Credential from National University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Her colleagues describe her as a dedicated, collaborative, and data-driven administrator committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
As the school year is set to begin next week, retired National School District Administrator Ms. Beverly Hayes will open the school year while our Human Resources team completes the onboarding and transition process for Catherine.
Please join me in welcoming Catherine Kratochvil-Rojo to Central Elementary School. We are confident that her leadership will inspire and support our students, staff, and families.
Best regards,
Dr. Leighangela Brady–Superintendent
