DISTRICT AWARDS
National School District is proud to have received some of the most distinguished awards in California. Our diligence in striving for excellence is apparent on a day-to-day basis.
Thank you to all staff, students, and parents who have made our district a shining example.
California Distinguished Schools Awards
The California Distinguished School Award Program honors some of California's most exemplary and inspiring public schools. Schools selected for the Distinguished School Award demonstrate significant gains in narrowing the achievement gap. This prestigious award is considered the state's predominant recognition of a school's total educational program.
We are proud to have two of our schools recognized as California Distinguished Schools.
Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence
Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization established for the primary purpose of improving academic excellence for all children. This is accomplished through the identification of successful programs in schools across the nation, the creation of an online Best Practices Database to share these best practices free of charge, and to assist in the implementation of successful practices in targeted schools.
We are proud to have our schools recognized as Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence.
The Golden Bell Award
The Golden Bell Award program, now in its 25th year, promotes excellence in education by recognizing outstanding programs in school districts and county offices of education throughout California. Golden Bell Awards reflect the depth and breadth of education programs necessary to address students changing needs. This awards program contributes to the development and evaluation of curriculum, instruction and support services. We are proud to have received 8 Golden Bell Awards.
Title 1 Academic Achievement Award
The Academic Achievement Award Program honors Title I schools that have demonstrated success in significantly closing the achievement gap between high and low-performing students.
To meet the criteria for this distinction, the school must demonstrate that all students are making significant progress toward proficiency on California's academic content standards. Additionally, the school's socioeconomically disadvantaged students must have doubled the achievement targets set for them for two consecutive years.
California PBIS Implementation Awards
The California PBIS Coalition, also known as CPC, has initiated the first statewide effort to implement a recognition system to acknowledge schools for implementing PBIS with fidelity to the national framework. Schools may be recognized as Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum PBIS schools. National School District’s dedication and commitment to the students, families, and communities of our district is a major contributing factor to the excellence in education in the state of California. National School District schools are among the first schools in the state to utilize and be recognized by the CPC PBIS recognition system.
Seven of our ten schools are the recipients of the 2018 Silver PBIS Implementation Award. Three of our ten schools are the recipients of the 2018 Bronze PBIS Implementation Award.
