DELAC Meetings

The District English Learners Advisory Committees is comprised of elected representatives from each school's English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), a school-based committee required if there are more than 21 English Learners at that school.  The role of the DELAC is to advise the district on programs and services for English Learner students.  As prescribed by law, the DELAC consults on the development of the English Learner program, the implementation of Title I, Title III and EIA compensatory education programs, and the annual language census.

DELAC meetings are held monthly at the National School District Board Room, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.  The meetings are open to the public and fall under the open meeting provisions of Education Code 35147.
